Senecio scaposus, or woolly senecio, is a nearly-stemless succulent plant that is extremely drought tolerant. They stay short – around 12" In height. Its leaves are silvery-green with a slightly fuzzy texture. In the summer months, they sometimes grow vibrant yellow flowers. This plant grows best in sandy soil, which should be allowed to dry out between waterings. It is very easy to take care of and requires almost no maintenance or watering. Move woolly senecio outside during hot summer months, but make sure it comes back inside before the first frost. Hardy in zones 9-11, but prefers warmer temperatures.
