The Barbecue variety of rosemary offers plenty of bold rosemary flavor, and the rosemary grows large, strong stems that make perfect barbecue skewers, infusing food with flavor as they cook over an open flame. Plants spread 2 to 3 feet and grow 4 to 6 feet tall with dark green needles and clear blue flowers. Barbecue rosemary is a perennial in zones 8 through 10; it can be potted to winter in doors in colder climates. Rosemary ships live in 1-gallon pots.
