This is a mixed variety pack for staggered cropping, containing the following calabrese varieties.

Calabrese Marathon. is an outstanding Calabrese variety that will perform reliably in almost any soil or weather conditions. An F1, Marathon has set the standard for quality as it will produce medium size bluish-green heads with good cold and disease resistance, being tolerant to Downy Mildew and with an excellent holding ability. It is a NIAB listed variety.
Calabrese Ironman. is an excellent variety for harvesting late June - November. Excellent quality heads with very good dome shape. Needs more growing time than Marathon, but produces larger heads.
How are these plants supplied?
The calabrese plants are supplied as individual cell grown plants, that are ready to place straight into your garden or vegetable plot. The plants are sown in commmercial size plug trays that we then cut to give a strip of 14 plants. The tray is then packed in to one of our specially designed boxes, this way the plants roots are protected during transit.
The plant varieties are mixed in equal amounts as seeds in the seed tray, and the % of each variety that you receive will be determine by which seeds are picked up by the seeder and sown into that tray.
