Pack of 14 'Clubroot Resistant' Brussel Sprout plants for April delivery.
This pack is a selection of varieties that have shown to have resistance to Clubroot:
Brussel Crispus is a newly launched Maximus type that is Club-root resistant. It is ideal for growing for early harvest. Crispus has a vigorous habit and produces a high yield of smooth, tasty buttons which are well spaced on the stalk.It has excellent standing ability and has shown good disease resistance, by showing tolerance of ring spot, powdery mildew and white blister.
Brussel Cronus is also clubroot resistant. It produces sturdy plants, that have smooth good quality buttons. A mid-season variety, it crops up until christmas. Cronus has good resistance to brassica diseases.
How are these plants supplied?
The vegetable plants are supplied as individual plug grown plants, that are ready to place straight into your garden or vegetable plot. The plants are sown in commmercial size plug trays that we then cut to give a strip of 14 plants. The tray is then packed in to one of our specially designed boxes, this way the plants roots are protected during transit.
The plants are mixed in equal amounts as seeds in the seed tray, and the % of each variety that you receive will be determine by which seeds are picked up by the seeder and sown into that tray.
