Strawberry Honeoye is a highly productive cultivar and tolerant of leaf powdery mildew and botrytis gray mold. Honeoye strawberries ripen early season. This varietyis vigorous and very productive, bearing fruits over a longer period than most varieties. It is a very consistent producer and cropping times will be earlier if grown in a greenhouse.
Strawberries are hardy plants that require a sunny posiiton to ripen the fruits. They are fast growing and can be grown in almost any soil. They are also popular in hanging baskets and containers. Healthy plants will produce an abundance of berries for three to four years, after which they should be replaced.
Cropping Period - Strawberry Honeoye is an early season variety.
Delivery - Starwberry Plants are despatched Tuesdays.
How are these plants supplied?
These strawberry plants are supplied as bare root runners and should be planted or potted on arrival. On delivery pot on into a minimum of a 9cm pot then grow on until they are considered large enough for planting in their final position. Instructions will be sent with your order.
Later deliveries may be available as fully grown potted plants.
Strawberry Beds. Your strawberry bed should have good drainage and be well tilled with rich organic matter such as manure or compost to give your strawberry plants a good start. Keep your plants well watered until they are established (but don't overdo). Can also be planted in tubs, containers and hanging baskets.
