Raised Beds - 15cm Deep

The 'Build-a-Bed' system comprises of a range of easy to assemble kits which will help you quickly construct a raised bed in your garden for growing your own vegetables.

Raised beds are the perfect way to grow vegetables. Not only do they raise the working height of your soil, making it much easier to tend to, but can also improve the yield of your crops thanks to the Build-a-Beds twin skin construction which maintains a more stable growing temperature within the bed by trapping a layer of air between the 2 sides of the board. The boards insulate the plants roots from extreme cold during the winter and prevent drying out during the summer months.

  • Boards do not rot, they are lightweight and completely maintenance free.
  • All components are frost resistant and should last for years.
  • Beds can be erected and in minutes, using no tools. They do not require any treatment.

Building a Raised Bed 

The components slot together easily to form a 15cm deep bed, a dowel is then inserted at the end of each board, holding the corner joints and board, securely together. Once all 4 corners are connected together the dowels can be cut to lenght and the end cap push on to the end of the dowel. If you are building a double height or tiered bed the, this dowel is long enough for both boards.

The dowels used to secure the corner joints pass from the top bed section through the larger bottom section, holding both bed sections securely in place.
